Solitude is not a portrait of loneliness, but of the quiet space where we turn inward and reconnect with ourselves. Deep charcoal and plum form the foundation of the work, layered with soft dusty rose and ivory. The contrast between shadow and light, weight and softness, reflects the delicate emotions that exist within us. The golden lines running through the artwork are inspired by the Japanese tradition of Kintsugi—the art of repairing broken pottery with gold. Rather than hiding cracks and imperfections, Kintsugi transforms them into part of the object's beauty and history. Here, those golden lines represent memories, experiences, and the quiet scars that shape who we become. Solitude invites us to embrace even our moments of isolation as part of our journey—to look inward, accept what we have lived through, and discover the light that exists within.
