Dawn is the opening work of THE DIALOGUE WITH NATURE, the second series of KINTSUGI LUMI. Pale gold, soft salmon, and ivory create the gentle atmosphere of a sunrise, while layers of rich impasto texture evoke clouds, air, and the first light spreading across the sky. The figure gradually dissolves into the surrounding light, blurring the boundary between the human presence and the natural world. The golden lines flowing through the artwork are inspired by the Japanese tradition of Kintsugi—the art of repairing broken pottery with gold. In Series I, Kintsugi represented scars, memories, and experiences transformed into beauty. In Series II, its meaning expands.
