I'm Rei Mizuki 💎 — an artist dedicated to spreading a sense of peace and reassurance. I've immersed myself in the fascinating world of alcohol ink art, where ink and air come together to create something unexpected. My goal is to surprise and delight you — so I create alcohol ink art that doesn't look like alcohol ink art at all. Early in my life, I hit a point of deep despair. Later, I nearly lost my life during childbirth after marrying later in life, and I've thrown myself into raising a child with severe disabilities. Through every hardship, so many people reached out to help me — and out of deep gratitude for that, I create with the intention of sharing miraculous blessings with others. The thread running through all my work is "the joy of being alive." On black canvases, I express the idea that there is light even in the deepest darkness. Life isn't all fun and happiness — but so much depends on where you choose to focus. My art looks different depending on the lighting and time of day, offering a sense of renewal and fresh perspective through multiple viewpoints. Hidden images wait to be discovered, each carrying a message within. I hope this experiential art helps you rediscover the light within yourself and emotions you may have forgotten. My wish is for each person to feel at ease within themselves — to remember their own worth and potential. Beyond my art, I continue to spread that sense of reassurance through Kindle books, original cards that can be used for self-care, and other creative expressions. 【Awards & Exhibitions】 🟠April 2025 — Debut exhibition at a gallery in Paris. 13th Discover the One Japanese Art Special Jury Prize 🟠September 2025 — BM Magazine vol.68 French International Art Award 🟠October 2025 — Domestic debut at the 5th Gei-ten Exhibition (Kiyomizu-dera, Yakushi-ji, Zojo-ji) 🟠April 2026 — MINERVA 2026 Royal Society of British Artists — Honorary Guest Member (Exhibited in London in April, then at Kyoto City Kyocera Museum of Art in October) 🟠June 2026 — New York Open Exhibition 2026 Spring/Summer Excellence Award — Gallery exhibition in New York in July 🟠2026 — 34th International Peace Art Exhibition (June at 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa · September & Barcelona, exhibited at Hospital de Sant Pau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site)
