Welcome to my page! I'm Haru Yanagi, also known as Alexis. I'm a freelance artist based between Japan and Taiwan, and I spent several years living in Australia. Before becoming a freelance artist, I worked as a game artist specializing in environment and concept art — a background that still shapes the atmosphere, storytelling, and sense of place in my work today. My work is shaped by travel, languages, and the many cultures I've encountered along the way. I'm especially drawn to themes of memory, distance, emotion, and imagined worlds, often creating pieces that exist somewhere between reality and reflection. Outside of art, I enjoy exploring global cuisine and relaxing with a comforting soy milk tea.
