大根田真

After working as an art teacher at St. Joseph Junior & Senior High School in Yokohama, I devoted myself fully to painting. In 2004, I received the Côte d'Azur International Art Award at the Cannes International Art Festival. In 2007, I was honored with the Meraviglia International Award at the 4th Japan-Italy Art Festival "A Banquet of Wonder and Beauty." In 2016, I published my illustrated storybook collection "Chiisana Bijutsukan" (A Little Museum), followed by a second volume, "Chiisana Bijutsukan — Act 2 —" in 2018. In 2019, I was invited to participate in the five-city exhibition tour across Taiwan, "未來世界藝術大展." In 2020, I became the director of my private atelier gallery "Chiisana Bijutsukan." Between 2005 and 2016, I held 12 solo exhibitions at the Yokohama Bay Sheraton Hotel, and have presented numerous solo shows at prestigious department store art galleries nationwide, including Ginza Mitsukoshi, Shinjuku Odakyu, Ikebukuro Tobu, and Yokohama Sogo.
