坂本雄一

I am a Japan-based artist creating contemporary art inspired by light, movement, silence, and the beauty found in simplicity. My work explores the space between darkness and light, stillness and motion, combining flowing forms, delicate textures, subtle colors, and open space. I am also deeply inspired by Japanese aesthetics, where simplicity, imperfection, and negative space can carry as much meaning as the elements themselves. Rather than giving each artwork a single fixed meaning, I prefer to leave room for interpretation. A shape may become a distant galaxy, a flowing current, a landscape, or something entirely different depending on the viewer. Through my work, I hope to create pieces that quietly transform the atmosphere of a space and invite the viewer to pause, look, and discover their own story within the artwork. Based in Japan. Based in Japan, I create works inspired by light, movement, silence, and open space. I cherish the freedom of each viewer to interpret my work in their own way.
