This work is a reimagining based on "Myōchikurin" (literally, "a strange and wondrous grove" — an expression for something wonderfully bizarre), an original size-50 canvas inspired by Alice in Wonderland. While honoring the spirit of the original painting, the composition was re-edited into a square format, and generative AI was woven into part of the creative process — adding a lavish, intricate texture reminiscent of haute couture bead embroidery. Alice, the White Rabbit, a key, a teacup, flowers, butterflies, mushrooms — memories of Wonderland drift and unfurl within a deep-blue world of fantasy. Rather than a straight reproduction, this is a Gicleepod work in which the hand-painted universe has been tenderly re-cultivated through a contemporary sensibility and new technology.
