Japanese tradition × Street culture × Bulldog attitude. A graphic that reworks the traditional Japanese folk figure Hyottoko through the DOGGIES perspective. Hyottoko is a well-known traditional Japanese character recognized by his distinctive puckered mouth. There are several theories about his origin, but one of the most widely known connects the name to “Hi-Otoko” — the “Fire Man.” The story comes from a man blowing air through a bamboo tube to keep the hearth fire burning, which is said to have inspired Hyottoko’s unique expression. In this piece, the traditional human face is replaced with a black French Bulldog. The flames coming from the Frenchie’s mouth represent Hyottoko’s connection to fire, making them the central motif of the design. Instead of the traditional dotted head cloth, the Frenchie wears a bold blue-and-white paisley pattern. Strong linework, deep shading, and heavy contrast bring the traditional Japanese motif into a world of Irezumi × STREET × DOG CULTURE. Same folklore. Different face. Different attitude. Japanese tradition × Street culture × Bulldog attitude.

About Limited Editions
This is a Limited Edition produced in only 10 pieces worldwide. Each piece carries a unique edition number, with authenticity proven both digitally and physically.

Each print carries a unique NFC tag. Its tamper-evident structure breaks if removed, so it cannot be transferred to another work.

Artwork details, edition number, and ownership history are recorded on the blockchain, preserving provenance and ownership over the long term.

A certificate bearing the artist's signature is included. Along with the print itself, it leaves you with proof of authentic ownership.
Unlike traditional proof that relies on a handwritten signature alone, linking a physical NFC tag with a digital certification record delivers tamper-proof, far more reliable proof of authenticity.
Authenticity is certified using "Startrail," a blockchain certification platform operated by Startbahn, Inc.
