kiyohiro Hasegawa

I am a painter based in Sapporo, Hokkaido (associate member of the Hokkaido Fine Arts Artists Association). My work is rooted in expressionism, where I place great importance on impression and emotion — which is why my pieces range widely, from figurative to abstract, and are each deeply personal and original. At the heart of my painting is a desire to give form to what emerges freely from within me, unbound by current trends or fashions. Whatever the subject may be, I hope to bring my work to those who are looking for paintings that breathe with the poetic feeling I myself have felt.
