Jonathan's work blends playful figurative art with a naïve sensibility. Simplified shapes and visible brushwork bring people, animals and everyday objects into a world that feels familiar, yet slightly unexpected. He is especially drawn to the parts of us that get less room: the awkward, tender, odd or childlike sides we sometimes learn to hide. Through humour, warmth and curious scenes, he gives those parts a place to belong. His hope is that living with his work feels like a small, everyday embrace of the person you are when you let your guard down.
