A semi-abstract evening seascape centered on a deep blue sea and a band of golden light stretching across the water. Distant islands, headlands, white terraces, and the silhouettes of cypress and olive trees remain, while the sky and foreground are resolved into broad color fields and richly textured brushwork. Blue is the anchor, balanced with ivory, peach, lavender, and ochre — giving this piece a slightly quieter palette than the rest of the series. It holds a strong presence without feeling heavy, making it an easy fit for a living room or bedroom. SERIES — LUMEN COAST LUMEN COAST is a five-piece semi-abstract landscape series that moves between recognizable coastal scenery and painterly abstraction. From a distance, the works suggest the sea, headlands, white architecture, cliffs, and the shifting light of dusk. Up close, these forms dissolve into layered color fields, scraped surfaces, and tactile brushwork. The series preserves a sense of quiet, breathing space, and soft light while gradually intensifying notes of turquoise, coral, pale blue, ochre, and deep ocean tones. It is designed to sit naturally in Japandi-inspired interiors as well as brighter contemporary spaces. ABOUT RITSUKO NISHIMURA Ritsuko Nishimura creates work around the sensations of light, air, quiet, and open space. Rather than rendering every detail, she turns her attention to the moment just before a landscape or form fully emerges — or the moment its edges begin to dissolve. Through layered brushwork, scraped textures, translucent color fields, and intentional negative space, her work seeks to open a quiet interval within the viewer.
High-quality giclée printing using 12-color pigment inks and 0.35mm fine art paper. Faithfully reproduces the texture and brushstrokes of the original work, with lightfastness of approximately 200 years.
