Pale color settles in layers like quiet light. TIDELINE 04 — Lavender Blush brings together lavender, soft lilac, milky pink, and blush tones in an airy composition. The boundaries are kept gentle, with transparent transitions and subtle stippling connecting each field of color. Within the TIDELINE series, this work carries an especially light and atmospheric sense of stillness. SERIES — TIDELINE TIDELINE is an abstract series that translates the presence of tide, water, foam, sand, and air into horizontal fields of color. Each composition is built from layered color zones whose boundaries remain soft, connected by subtle bleeding and stippled texture rather than rigid lines. A single fine white line acts as a quiet threshold between water and shore, light and shadow, stillness and movement. Rather than portraying a specific coastline, the series uses color and texture to evoke the slow passage of time and the changing rhythm of the tide. ABOUT RITSUKO NISHIMURA Ritsuko Nishimura creates quiet abstract works centered on the relationship between color, texture, and open space. Her process values restraint—knowing where to stop rather than filling every part of the surface. Through layered color fields, subtle bleeding, stippling, and areas of openness, she aims to leave a sense of light, air, and passing time within each work. The compositions remain intentionally open, allowing viewers to bring their own memories and sensations to the experience of the work.
High-quality giclée printing using 12-color pigment inks and 0.35mm fine art paper. Faithfully reproduces the texture and brushstrokes of the original work, with lightfastness of approximately 200 years.
