The motif is the alpine flower fields of Shirouma-dake and the Hakuba Daisekkei snowfield. Painted boldly around the theme of the ''True Self'' (shinga) — the eternal, indestructible essence within us all. The inspiration I received while climbing Shirouma-dake was the ''butterfly.'' In this work, the overall composition presents a double image: a ''humanoid woman'' and a ''butterfly'' layered together. This represents the contrast between the material world and the vast energetic realm that lies beyond it. In the details, a sea of clouds bathed in the light of a full moon evokes the ''True Self'' — the undying core of human nature. At the center of the canvas, five dragons are arranged moving from left to right, each driving one of the ''Five Great Elements,'' and together they form the image of a great Yellow Dragon (Kōryū) descending in a sweeping, sinuous arc. Viewed from yet another angle, reading from top to bottom across the canvas, the auspicious symbols of a first dream of the New Year appear — Mount Fuji, a hawk, and an eggplant (ichi-Fuji, ni-taka, san-nasubi).

About Limited Editions
This is a Limited Edition produced in only 100 pieces worldwide. Each piece carries a unique edition number, with authenticity proven both digitally and physically.

Each print carries a unique NFC tag. Its tamper-evident structure breaks if removed, so it cannot be transferred to another work.

Artwork details, edition number, and ownership history are recorded on the blockchain, preserving provenance and ownership over the long term.

A certificate bearing the artist's signature is included. Along with the print itself, it leaves you with proof of authentic ownership.
Unlike traditional proof that relies on a handwritten signature alone, linking a physical NFC tag with a digital certification record delivers tamper-proof, far more reliable proof of authenticity.
Authenticity is certified using "Startrail," a blockchain certification platform operated by Startbahn, Inc.
