Nature's Sculptural Beauty The subject of this work is a world of −10°C visited on Christmas Day, 2022. It depicts the frozen waterfall of Karasawa-no-taki on Mt. Ogawa, deep in the Okuchichibus mountain range. For the background, I wove in the dawn landscape of Mitsugashira (Yatsugatake) in October 2023. There, I was fortunate to witness the ''phantom white flower fields'' — a fleeting scene where only the very tips of the creeping pine needles freeze over. The key to the composition lies in the three primary colors of light: red, blue, and green.
