Soft rose and peach dots color the sky and sand just before sunset. The familiar horizon takes on a warmer mood in this palette. It adds a quiet touch of color to a room in white or beige. DESERT LIGHT is a three-piece series of pointillist desert sunsets. The horizon and nearly flat plain stay constant while the colors shift from pale gold to rose and lavender. Each work offers a different quiet mood for the same open landscape. Ritsuko Nishimura creates abstract and semi-abstract works with a simple aim: to make a room feel good to live with. Rather than forcing a strong statement, her work focuses on balance—light, air, quiet space, color, and the physical character of each mark. The pieces are designed to sit naturally in calm, hotel-inspired and contemporary interiors, offering something that can be lived with and looked at over time.
