"Beyond the Light" If you call my name from within the light— I want to become your shadow. In this swirl of air that reaches your fingertips, we begin to walk. We set out now, from here, between the world beyond and this one— the only promise I made to you: "Let's go." Now, together with you, leaving this world for the next. The moment you reached out your hand— I became your shadow. ◈ Artist's Note When I began working on "Beyond the Light," the feeling that stayed with me throughout was one of being called. That quiet, aching sensation of hearing your name spoken out of nowhere in the middle of an ordinary day — of sensing a presence watching you from somewhere deep within a blazing light. What I wanted to capture was the shape of that something doing the calling. The motif was the silhouette of a woman standing inside an overwhelming flood of light pouring through a window. Her hand was extended — not simply resting there, but carrying a palpable sense of beckoning: come, this way. I felt drawn to that presence. She exists in reality and yet belongs somewhere outside this world — beautiful in the way a half-remembered outline of someone you once knew can be. The idea I held onto most tightly as I worked was the dialogue between light and shadow. The woman herself is not simply radiant and white; she exists as a silhouette, her form thrown into relief by an intense source of light behind her. I softened the edges of her outline just slightly, while at the same time adding a faint grain of noise along those very edges. I wanted the viewer to feel that she is not a fully solid presence — that the trembling she gives off is the trembling particular to memory or something spiritual. I was after an atmosphere like heat shimmering off the light itself. The grain (noise) scattered across the window frame in the background and across the composition as a whole was equally important. Simply scattering it at random felt too thin, so I deliberately concentrated the particle density near the center, where the light burns most intensely. I felt that this density gave the impression that her very existence is made of something like energy or emotion. The words I wrote to accompany the poem are also a direct expression of what I was feeling while making the work. Reading the lines "If you call my name / from within the light—" and "I want to become your shadow," I felt it strongly: yes, I myself want to answer that call. Because the image of her standing in that ferocious light felt precisely like a moment in which the outline of this world (myself) is being pulled toward a powerful will coming from the beyond (her). When I stepped back to look at the finished piece, I sensed not simply a beautiful silhouette, but something more — a decisive movement held inside it. The woman reaching her hand toward the light, and myself unable to resist her beckoning: that ambiguous boundary is, I believe, the very heart of MIE (Mystique in Enigma). What I hoped to convey through this single image, "Beyond the Light," is a quiet conviction: the things that truly matter are always calling to us from somewhere just out of reach. I hope that when you look at it, you might find yourself drifting toward the memory of a gentle voice that once echoed inside you. ◈ Edition This work is a limited-edition giclée print from the Mystique In Enigma series. ◈ Keywords Light / Silhouette / Spiritual Presence / Boundary / Aura / Contrast / Texture / Ethereal / Shadow / Calling / Transition / Mysticism

About Limited Editions
This is a Limited Edition produced in only 1 pieces worldwide. Each piece carries a unique edition number, with authenticity proven both digitally and physically.

Each print carries a unique NFC tag. Its tamper-evident structure breaks if removed, so it cannot be transferred to another work.

Artwork details, edition number, and ownership history are recorded on the blockchain, preserving provenance and ownership over the long term.

A certificate bearing the artist's signature is included. Along with the print itself, it leaves you with proof of authentic ownership.
Unlike traditional proof that relies on a handwritten signature alone, linking a physical NFC tag with a digital certification record delivers tamper-proof, far more reliable proof of authenticity.
Authenticity is certified using "Startrail," a blockchain certification platform operated by Startbahn, Inc.
