"Breath of the Snow Forest" Beneath a pale, haze-veiled canopy, only the weight of snow marks the passing of time. A visitor pressed deeper into the forest, still searching for the warmth hidden inside the cold. The voice the wind carried down from the branch-tips sounded like someone calling a name — but no one answered. He stopped and listened to his own shadow. And for the first time he understood: the silence of this forest was not mere wordlessness, but the voice of something that recedes the moment you reach for it. That voice seeped into his depths, and in time became indistinguishable from himself. Breath of the Snow Forest… The wind moves through the trees, whispering inside the stillness. Snow wraps around the branches and drifts to sleep. Close your eyes and you can hear the voice within. But reach too far, and it slips beyond your touch. This forest is cold, yet it holds a warmth inside. A song woven by wind and snow — quiet, and deeply resonant. ◈ Artist's Note I began this piece from the image of "a forest standing at the boundary between this world and the next." The palette — white and mint green spreading across the entire frame — was a deliberate choice to evoke the world of frozen wilderness. Yet simply placing cold colours side by side would fail to carry the afterglow of the poem's central idea: something that recedes the moment you reach for it. To draw the eye inward, I softened the edges of the trees near the centre of the composition and reduced the density of visual information in the surrounding areas. For light and tonal gradation, I preserved a crepuscular light source filtering in from above, then carefully managed the midtones to produce an intense luminosity approaching blown-out white. This creates a contrast between the cold light reflected off the snow's surface and the depth of shadow within the forest interior. Retaining a fine grain in the darkest areas prevents the image from becoming entirely smooth, shaping a space where the viewer can imagine themselves suspended, as if floating inside fog. In terms of texture, I was guided by the frost-like quality visible on the bark of the trees. By restraining the saturation of the mint green — leaving just a trace of colour while lowering the overall chroma — I aimed to render the tactile sensation of a forest locked in ice. I also lightly blurred the edge of the snow surface in the lower-left foreground, allowing the boundary between foreground and background to dissolve and evoke the mingling of the other world with this one. The poem contains the phrase "the voice the wind carried down from the branch-tips" — but sound cannot be painted. Instead, I varied the placement of noise intentionally: rather than layering uniform grain across the whole image, I concentrated coarser particles in the darker regions. This leaves a visual trace of the rustling wind and the faint tremor of accumulating snow. By linking the poem's sense of something just beyond reach with the distribution of noise in the image, I preserved a space the viewer can complete with their own senses. ◈ Edition This work is a limited-edition giclée print from the Mystique In Enigma series. ◈ Keywords snow forest / mint green tone / ethereal atmosphere / frost texture / soft silhouette / layered depth / cold warmth contrast / quiet resonance

About Limited Editions
This is a Limited Edition produced in only 1 pieces worldwide. Each piece carries a unique edition number, with authenticity proven both digitally and physically.

Each print carries a unique NFC tag. Its tamper-evident structure breaks if removed, so it cannot be transferred to another work.

Artwork details, edition number, and ownership history are recorded on the blockchain, preserving provenance and ownership over the long term.

A certificate bearing the artist's signature is included. Along with the print itself, it leaves you with proof of authentic ownership.
Unlike traditional proof that relies on a handwritten signature alone, linking a physical NFC tag with a digital certification record delivers tamper-proof, far more reliable proof of authenticity.
Authenticity is certified using "Startrail," a blockchain certification platform operated by Startbahn, Inc.
