"Afterglow of the Boundary" That morning, too, the light came piercing through the gaps between the trees just like this. At the place he had promised, I smoothed the hem of my white dress ever so slightly and simply waited. The seasons turned, and fallen leaves gathered in layers at my feet, slowly burying my memories. I believed that when he returned, I would dissolve into this light and he would find me there. But what he left behind in the end was not the sound of my name on his lips — only the quiet, sinking breath of the forest. The more the morning glow passes through me, the warmer those unspoken words grow, smoldering somewhere deep in my chest…… From my fingertips heat slips away and the memory of leaves dyed crimson passes clean through my back The light is too sharp — it shaves away my outline and turns even my name into flecks of gold What I was waiting for was not a promise but only time: time to witness this silence carry me away Only in the moment of disappearing can I remember you Aftergow of the Boundary ◈ Artist's Note Deep in the forest, at the very place where a promise was once made, I sought to paint a presence quietly fading from this world. At the center of the composition stands the silhouette of a woman in a white dress. She lingers at the threshold between this world and the one beyond, yet her form is no longer wholly solid — she has already begun to dissolve into the light. Sharp morning rays cut through the canopy at a low angle, setting the fallen leaves ablaze in golds and burning reds; I rendered this through vivid contrasts of color. Throughout the making of this piece, I kept returning to two things: the intensity of the light, and the particular quality of translucency it creates. The strong light source placed behind her is not simply brightness — it carries an almost painful edge, one that erodes and carves away at her contours. Wherever the light touches her, I layered the process carefully: her body grows gradually transparent, bleeding out into the surrounding landscape, the boundary between self and world softening until it disappears. I also gave close attention to a fine, pervasive sense of texture and grain across the whole image. The deep accumulation of fallen leaves beneath her feet speaks to how long she has stood in this place — or, read another way, to the sheer weight of layered memory. While preserving the rich gradation of light rising from the dark background, I deliberately pushed the luminosity in the lit areas, so that I could capture that fleeting, transient beauty (what Japanese calls setsuna no bi — the beauty of a vanishing instant): the moment she loses her form as an individual and returns, particle by particle, to the light. This work is the afterglow of one brief moment — when wishes that could never be spoken, and memories already lost, borrowed the shape of light and appeared once more in this world. ◈ Edition This is a limited-edition, single-print giclée from the Mystique In Enigma series. About Limited Editions
This is a Limited Edition produced in only 1 pieces worldwide. Each piece carries a unique edition number, with authenticity proven both digitally and physically.

Each print carries a unique NFC tag. Its tamper-evident structure breaks if removed, so it cannot be transferred to another work.

Artwork details, edition number, and ownership history are recorded on the blockchain, preserving provenance and ownership over the long term.

A certificate bearing the artist's signature is included. Along with the print itself, it leaves you with proof of authentic ownership.
Unlike traditional proof that relies on a handwritten signature alone, linking a physical NFC tag with a digital certification record delivers tamper-proof, far more reliable proof of authenticity.
Authenticity is certified using "Startrail," a blockchain certification platform operated by Startbahn, Inc.
