"A Nameless Border That Sinks into the Abyss of Fog" A pale, clouded fog erases the contours of the landscape without a sound. The colors and warmth that once existed here have been smothered beneath the hue of damp earth, sinking into a quiet, leaden stillness. The trees that stand in rows have long since stopped reaching for the sky — they simply remain, as if they have forgotten to even ask what they once were. Boundaries blur, and in this place where life and death, form and void can no longer be told apart, only the illusion of suspended time continues to drift. When you submerge yourself in that abyss and accept the silence that crawls up from beneath your feet, words lose their meaning, and only an echo is left to dissolve into the air. At the edge of an oblivion from which even departure is denied… Branches like the bones of something long since withered claw at the sky, grasping for a void, while only the memory of damp soil accumulates in the deep red-black silence. Light becomes a milky veil of death, draping itself equally over everything, and the trees, stripped of their outlines, refuse — at the far end of forgetting — to remember that they were ever alive. Beyond the boundary there is only the absence of meaning, and each step forward dissolves into the emptiness that bears the name of eternity. ◈ Artist's Note When I was conceiving this work, what occupied my mind was the sensation of color slowly draining away. Not a vivid landscape, but something closer to a quiet resignation — an image of everything shifting into something uniform and indistinct. In making the piece, I gave great care to the contrast between the milky white light that veils the entire frame and the deep red-black earth spreading across the foreground. Because I wanted to capture the process by which a warmth that should have been there gradually disappears, I deliberately lowered the overall brightness while composing the scene so that a white fog seems to pull the viewer inward toward the center. I was most particular about the depiction of the tree at the center of the frame. I softened and blurred the edges of the branches so that they dissolve into the sky — this came from a desire to strip away the boundary of the presence standing there. I wasn't aiming for a tree as a realistic landscape element, but rather something closer to what I can only call "a thing that has no right to exist" — a texture that feels as if it is dispersing into mist from within a memory. I also layered a faint, grain-like noise across the entire image. This was not simply a textural choice; it was a deliberate process intended to evoke the moisture that hangs in this place, and to conjure the sensation of a silence — one that should be invisible — pressing against the skin. The dark red applied to the earth in the foreground was kept to express the weight of life's memory being returned to the soil. At moments when I paused during the making of this work, I found myself inside the feeling of not knowing where I was standing. Not a switching between life and death, but rather the two merging as a single, ambiguous layer… It was when I tried to put that image into words that this poem came to me. If you ever find yourself standing before this piece, I don't think you need to search for a clear answer within it. Simply surrender yourself to the drifting fog and the quiet presence of the trees. I would be glad if whatever you glimpse through them could be layered over your own memories. ◈ Edition This work is a limited-edition giclée print from the Mystique In Enigma series. ◈ Keywords Mist / Fog / Desolation / Dark Forest / Red Soil / Silence / Boundary / Decay / Ethereal / Void / Melancholy

About Limited Editions
This is a Limited Edition produced in only 1 pieces worldwide. Each piece carries a unique edition number, with authenticity proven both digitally and physically.

Each print carries a unique NFC tag. Its tamper-evident structure breaks if removed, so it cannot be transferred to another work.

Artwork details, edition number, and ownership history are recorded on the blockchain, preserving provenance and ownership over the long term.

A certificate bearing the artist's signature is included. Along with the print itself, it leaves you with proof of authentic ownership.
Unlike traditional proof that relies on a handwritten signature alone, linking a physical NFC tag with a digital certification record delivers tamper-proof, far more reliable proof of authenticity.
Authenticity is certified using "Startrail," a blockchain certification platform operated by Startbahn, Inc.
