"Still Whispering Where the Leaves Have Gone" At the edge of a forest wrapped in deep fog, there are places where time pools and stills. Memories that once formed part of someone's everyday life are drawn into the trees along with the damp air, losing their shape as they go. What wanders in is a grief without substance, and the lingering echo of a prayer that borders on longing. The shadow that sways beyond the mist carries on its back days when promises were made and even names were taken by the wind — and it fixes its gaze on a single, unmoving point. It does not disturb the surrounding silence. It simply arrives, soundlessly, at the place where someone once needed it. Whether this is a wish for reunion, or a refusal to accept an eternal farewell, it trembles on the boundary between the two. Toward the place where that faint trembling can still reach… "You have forgotten me, but I still hold memories that remain. In this forest, even names and feelings are scattered by the wind like fallen leaves. And yet I linger here — chasing your shadow, standing before you, waiting without end… so that you might find your way back to who you truly are. 'Let us walk together,' I whisper into the depths of your soul — and that voice rang out, deep within your chest." ◈ Artist's Note When I first decided to create this piece, what lived in my mind was a strange quietude — the kind that comes when things on the verge of vanishing and things that are still, undeniably, here become intermingled. Alongside the ache of precious memories drifting away on the wind, I wanted to give form to a fierce, wordless will — the will of someone who keeps standing there regardless. The two things I was most conscious of while making this work were the opacity of the overall image and the deliberate ambiguity of the "boundary." For the background forest, I chose not to bring out the outlines of the trees too sharply, processing the image so that a sense of deep fog hangs across the whole. By shaving away the detail of individual elements and letting them dissolve into luminous white space, I wanted to unsettle the viewer's sense of whether this is reality or a landscape inside someone's memory. When rendering the central figure, I was especially particular about the distinctive textural blur and noise I applied to her. Rather than depicting her too clearly as a solid form, I wanted her outline to melt into the surrounding light and mist — to feel as though she might occasionally come apart at the edges. This was my way of expressing that she is no longer a being with a physical body, but something closer to a "shadow" etched deep into someone else's memory. The fine grain of noise layered across the entire image was added to evoke the nostalgia of looking at an old photograph, while simultaneously lending a rawness — the sense of something manifesting in this very moment. In my handling of the dark tones, my concern was less with simply "making things dark" and more with preserving a feeling of light slowly encroaching. The strong whiteness pressing in from behind reads to me like a boundary dividing this world from another — and at the same time, like the color of an oblivion that would swallow everything whole. The poem accompanying the work is made of words that rose naturally to mind as I was painting her lips and the direction of her gaze. What a "forgotten presence" carries is not mere sadness. Within it was something closer to deep, selfless love — a feeling that said: even if you have forgotten me, I just want you to come back to yourself. The final lines of the poem are meant to capture the moment her whisper takes on shape and resonates outward. Through this piece, I hope you can sense that visible reality is not the whole of everything… and that even memories and feelings shared with another — even when they seem about to dissolve into time — continue to breathe quietly, somewhere deep below the surface. ◈ Edition This work is a limited-edition (1/1) giclée print from the Mystique In Enigma series. ◈ Keywords forgotten forest / misty woods / ghostly figure / monochrome / memory / silhouette / ethereal / lost whispers / digital painting / nostalgia / void / mystery

About Limited Editions
This is a Limited Edition produced in only 1 pieces worldwide. Each piece carries a unique edition number, with authenticity proven both digitally and physically.

Each print carries a unique NFC tag. Its tamper-evident structure breaks if removed, so it cannot be transferred to another work.

Artwork details, edition number, and ownership history are recorded on the blockchain, preserving provenance and ownership over the long term.

A certificate bearing the artist's signature is included. Along with the print itself, it leaves you with proof of authentic ownership.
Unlike traditional proof that relies on a handwritten signature alone, linking a physical NFC tag with a digital certification record delivers tamper-proof, far more reliable proof of authenticity.
Authenticity is certified using "Startrail," a blockchain certification platform operated by Startbahn, Inc.
