"Contours Melting into Dust of Light" In a forgotten corner of a mansion where time has stopped, a woman dissolves into the layers of crumbling plaster and dust. The space that once rang with lavish gatherings — the whisper of silk, the sound of laughter — is now a ruin that plays only the slow, heavy chord of silence. She stands as part of the wall itself, gazing at the faint motes of light drifting in through the window. It is the gaze that once looked out upon a garden tended for a long-gone master; it is, at the same time, the tender look that mourns a season now lost. Her limbs are still as stone, yet in her fingertips the trembling of a moment — when she almost called out someone's name — has never left. Follow the trail of that faint, hovering presence… Contours melting into dust of light Drops that spill from the folds of memory A nameless prayer carved into the wall I was between stone, and wind, and shadow Fingers that can no longer touch still stroke yesterday Behind closed eyelids an eternal garden blooms A sigh beyond words travels along the wall Overflowing through the gaps of faded color The brief warmth someone left behind that day Now wrapped in a gossamer veil called silence I am here Unseen — simply existing At the depths of forgotten time, weaving light without end ◈ Artist's Note When I began this piece, what occupied my mind was the tension between two opposing sensations: "absence" and "remaining." A place after people have gone still holds, in many accumulated layers, undeniable evidence that someone was once there. I wanted to give form to the spirit of a woman who simply stays — who refuses to leave — in just such a ruined mansion. I wanted her presence to feel not as though she is merely standing before a wall, but as though she has become one with the wall itself. To achieve this, I deliberately stopped short of rendering her outline in full clarity, processing her figure so that it dissolves into the surrounding background. Through this "indistinctness" I hoped to express an ambiguity: is she a living presence right here, right now — or a phantom that exists only within our memory? On the technical side, I focused on adjusting the contrast of light and shadow while adding fine, granular noise to the wall's texture. Rather than using a single flat color, I layered complex, overlapping hues to evoke the sensation of flaking plaster and accumulated dust — an attempt to give physical "weight" to the passage of time. I also emphasized the area where light enters through the window while letting the shadowed zones sink deep, so that the loneliness born in a quiet space and the faint warmth discovered within it could coexist. The poem I paired with this work contains the line, "A sigh beyond words travels along the wall." This image came from thinking of her not as someone simply standing still, but as a presence ceaselessly releasing emotions that overflow from somewhere deep inside. Her fingertips still tremble, yet her body is motionless as stone. Through that contrast, I wanted to express an affection for someone — a feeling that refuses to disappear even after the passage of long years. I would be glad if this work resonates with the afterimage of a place you once belonged to, or a beloved person who surfaces in your memory without warning. ◈ Edition This work is a limited-edition giclée print from the Mystique In Enigma series. ◈ Keywords Ruins / Spirit / Architecture / Silence / Memory / Light and Shadow / Gothic / Texture / Nostalgia / Mystique / Digital Art / Fine Art

About Limited Editions
This is a Limited Edition produced in only 1 pieces worldwide. Each piece carries a unique edition number, with authenticity proven both digitally and physically.

Each print carries a unique NFC tag. Its tamper-evident structure breaks if removed, so it cannot be transferred to another work.

Artwork details, edition number, and ownership history are recorded on the blockchain, preserving provenance and ownership over the long term.

A certificate bearing the artist's signature is included. Along with the print itself, it leaves you with proof of authentic ownership.
Unlike traditional proof that relies on a handwritten signature alone, linking a physical NFC tag with a digital certification record delivers tamper-proof, far more reliable proof of authenticity.
Authenticity is certified using "Startrail," a blockchain certification platform operated by Startbahn, Inc.
