"A Night Where a White Shadow Stands" The cold air of the abandoned mansion carried the smell of stone and the stagnant weight of forgotten time. He pressed his face to the gap in the heavy door and fixed his gaze on the shadow standing beyond. A woman draped in an antiquated robe stood perfectly still, as though she had become one with the wall. She did not move, made no sound — she simply existed. Within that absolute silence, the man felt the boundary between the real and the unreal begin to dissolve. Where had she come from, and what was she waiting for? The threads of memory knotted and tangled, refusing to be understood, drifting loose in the air. If I were to put her into words… Through the gap in the door of an abandoned mansion, a white, slowly dissolving shadow of a woman comes into view. She stands with her back to me — still and silent, as though she already knows I am here. Is she waiting for someone… or for me? "Come closer," she seems to whisper — no voice, and yet the gaze from her back makes my breathing tremble. Surely… she cannot be of this world… I step back. And then, slowly, her body begins to turn toward me. ◈ Artist's Note Light seeps through the dim corridor, bleeding outward in a pale, dissolving glow. Looking into the image, you can see it leaking softly through the gap in the gate. Beyond it, a woman in a worn robe stands quietly at the edge of the wall — present as though she were simply part of the space itself. In this piece, digital editing was used to darken and blur the surrounding environment while pulling the woman's silhouette into sharp relief. The floor behind her is laid with geometric tiles, but only their faint outlines remain; everything else is buried beneath layers of noise and glitch. This was a deliberate choice to underscore the themes of "a dissonance severed from reality" and "the presence of something unseen." The treatment of light was especially intentional. The woman appears to radiate a white luminosity, yet her edges blur into the surrounding darkness. That very indistinctness was essential to conveying the "boundary between the real and the unreal" — the question of whether she is alive or dead, present or absent. As the poem suggests, the question "Is she waiting for someone?" only deepens within the stillness that hangs across the entire frame. Her posture is rigid, motionless — and yet her presence seems to fill the space entirely. She is not simply a ghost. She is something more like a being suspended in longing, or a trace of memory preserved exactly as it was left. This work places its weight not on fear, but on a quiet sense of solitude — the feeling of standing in a place that has been forgotten. I left deliberate breathing room (ma, 間 — the Japanese concept of meaningful negative space) so that viewers might layer their own memories and experiences onto what they see, and arrive at that wordless feeling of "yes, this is it." It is in that single instant when a sliver of light reaches into the dark that I believe the work makes contact with something inside the viewer. ◈ Edition This work is a limited-edition giclée print from the Mystique In Enigma series. ◈ Keywords Ghost / White Robe / Abandoned House / Doorway / Shadow / Gothic / Digital Art / Glitch / Silence / Memory / Solitude / Ruins

About Limited Editions
This is a Limited Edition produced in only 1 pieces worldwide. Each piece carries a unique edition number, with authenticity proven both digitally and physically.

Each print carries a unique NFC tag. Its tamper-evident structure breaks if removed, so it cannot be transferred to another work.

Artwork details, edition number, and ownership history are recorded on the blockchain, preserving provenance and ownership over the long term.

A certificate bearing the artist's signature is included. Along with the print itself, it leaves you with proof of authentic ownership.
Unlike traditional proof that relies on a handwritten signature alone, linking a physical NFC tag with a digital certification record delivers tamper-proof, far more reliable proof of authenticity.
Authenticity is certified using "Startrail," a blockchain certification platform operated by Startbahn, Inc.
