Each work explores the quietness that remains inside an open landscape. From a distance the images read as places; up close they dissolve into blocks of color, scraped surfaces, and layered paint. By resisting excessive detail and preserving room for light and air, the series focuses less on a specific location than on the sensation of standing within a wide landscape.
