Soft blush, warm ivory, greige, and restrained touches of gold overlap in transparent organic forms, while edges fade into watercolor haze. In some works the bird is barely perceptible; in others, only a curve, a feather, or a pair of legs remains. The true subject is the open space around these fragments.
