"Shadow Blade" What the shadow left on the floor — two blades The sharp tips of high heels carve a summons from above She stands, perfectly still Her back dissolves into the white wall; she has no face, no eyes, no ears — nothing at her feet Only the line of her legs, connecting heaven and earth The light refuses to acknowledge her presence The wall does not say, "You are here" Instead, the figure reflected in the mirror breathes out the afterglow of fiction The shadow at her feet flows like water A trace of her own soul The air is cold and still Even as the pitch-black door swings open There is no one beyond it Only footsteps remain And they are waiting ◈ Artist's Note With the silhouette of her legs as my focal point, I kept the boundary between her back and the floor deliberately ambiguous. The white wall is rendered as a pure, flat plane — adjusted so that the figure's outline seems to melt into it. A faint suggestion of light catches the very tips of the high heels, sharpening the visual metaphor of "blades." The relationship between the shadow and the floor is expressed through soft, careful retouching — the movement at her feet processed to feel as though it "flows like water." By keeping direct light off the figure entirely, the image echoes the poem's insistence that the light does not acknowledge her existence. The background is kept free of compositional elements so the eye is drawn solely to the line of her legs. Spaces of ma (negative space; the Japanese aesthetic of meaningful emptiness) — the mirror, the door — are left intentionally open, creating room for the viewer's own memory to enter. The poem was paired with its visual counterparts in keeping with MIE's core theme of giving form to the invisible. Narrative resonances — "the shadow as blade," "only footsteps remain" — are carried through the composition naturally. Rather than spelling everything out, I left deliberate negative space so that viewers can layer their own experiences and memories onto the image. Both the words of the poem and the visual language are calibrated to evoke a sense of "a presence that cannot be seen." Despite the photographic framing, the aim is to move something inside the viewer. ◈ Edition This work is a limited-edition giclée print from the Mystique In Enigma series. ◈ Keywords Gothic Art / Silhouette / Mist / Shadow / High Heels / Memory / Dark Aesthetic / Fine Art Print / Giclée Print

About Limited Editions
This is a Limited Edition produced in only 1 pieces worldwide. Each piece carries a unique edition number, with authenticity proven both digitally and physically.

Each print carries a unique NFC tag. Its tamper-evident structure breaks if removed, so it cannot be transferred to another work.

Artwork details, edition number, and ownership history are recorded on the blockchain, preserving provenance and ownership over the long term.

A certificate bearing the artist's signature is included. Along with the print itself, it leaves you with proof of authentic ownership.
Unlike traditional proof that relies on a handwritten signature alone, linking a physical NFC tag with a digital certification record delivers tamper-proof, far more reliable proof of authenticity.
Authenticity is certified using "Startrail," a blockchain certification platform operated by Startbahn, Inc.
