"Two Shadows" Two shadows walk quietly. A small light rises from beneath their feet. In an empty room, just the two of them — as though filling up the world. ◈ Artist's Note This piece was created with the image of two shadows standing in a hollow space between this world and the next. I chose to render the figures as silhouettes, stripping away any trace of faces or expressions, so that viewers could layer their own memories and imagination into the open space left behind. While balancing light and shadow, I added a small light source at their feet to convey a sense of weightless presence and quiet warmth. The background is a near-seamless void, yet within it, the act of two figures walking together conjures the feeling that a "world" has come into being. For texture, I applied subtle noise and glitch effects — enough to suggest an overlap between photographic expression and digital processing, while preserving an atmosphere of emptiness and stillness. In relation to the poem, I felt that the phrases "a small light" and "filling up the world" gave tangible form to something intangible: the bond of friendship between two people.
