"Between Light and Dark" A falling shadow, dissolving in moonlight Stepping through silence, returning once more to this place The trace of tears remains, a memory swaying in the wind I want to reach out and touch the warmth of that day Lost between light and dark My voice cannot reach you, yet my heart trembles Like a knock upon a door, footsteps fall softly "I'm here," a gentle call into the quiet ◈ Artist's Note As I worked to give this piece its form, I kept asking myself how to visually capture the feeling of "an absence that still has presence" — not someone standing before you, but the lingering trace of what once was, a memory that can no longer be held, seeping quietly into the landscape around it. I chose as my motif the legs of a woman in high heels and the reflection they cast on the floor below. By deliberately excluding the face and upper body — showing only the silhouette of the lower half — I wanted to draw the viewer's attention toward more dynamic elements: the footstep, the place where someone stands. Rather than the simple fact of standing, I was focused on capturing something more like a threshold moment — the echo of having been there, or the mid-step feeling of being about to leave. The curtains on either side of the frame are rendered not in sharp detail, but just enough to register their presence through the quality of light falling upon them. This was a deliberate choice: I wanted the entire space to feel somehow unreal, like an ambiguous place that exists only inside a dream. In post-processing, I pushed the contrast while intentionally introducing noise and grain to break the smoothness you'd expect from a photograph. This comes from a feeling I hold about memory itself — that it is always fragmenting, always losing small pieces of itself, scattering like particles into the air. I also carefully tuned the gradation of light across the whole image to emphasize the texture of that "borderland" where strong light and deep shadow bleed into each other. As the accompanying poem suggests, this work carries within it a longing and a gentle ache — for a warmth that could not be reached, yet was undeniably there. I hope you can feel something like the rhythm of quiet footsteps pressing into the floor. And alongside that, I wanted to hold space for a certain emptiness too — the feeling of reaching out with your fingertips, only to find nothing there. Depending on who is looking, this might appear as the solitary afterimage left behind after someone has gone — or it might feel like the first sign that something is about to begin. I didn't want to offer a clear answer. Instead, I hoped to leave enough open space that simply sitting within the silence of this image, you might find it overlapping with something precious held inside your own memory. ◈ Edition This work is a limited-edition giclée print from the Mystique In Enigma series. ◈ Keywords Fine Art Photography / Digital Art / Atmospheric / Melancholic / Mysterious / Dreamlike / Silhouette / Shadow / Reflections / Monochrome / Mist / Limited Edition

About Limited Editions
This is a Limited Edition produced in only 1 pieces worldwide. Each piece carries a unique edition number, with authenticity proven both digitally and physically.

Each print carries a unique NFC tag. Its tamper-evident structure breaks if removed, so it cannot be transferred to another work.

Artwork details, edition number, and ownership history are recorded on the blockchain, preserving provenance and ownership over the long term.

A certificate bearing the artist's signature is included. Along with the print itself, it leaves you with proof of authentic ownership.
Unlike traditional proof that relies on a handwritten signature alone, linking a physical NFC tag with a digital certification record delivers tamper-proof, far more reliable proof of authenticity.
Authenticity is certified using "Startrail," a blockchain certification platform operated by Startbahn, Inc.
